It measures 4' 1" and of course has cannons. The locals insist it weighs 2=
6 cwt. I've always assumed it weighs more than a ton but not 6 cwt more.

Has anyone measured the tenor at Bedale in North Yorkshire. Dove gives
it as 20 cwt, but I've heard (second hand) that some people (and who I
don't know) have measured it and think that 24 to 26 cwt is nearer the
mark. Can anyone comment?
