RE: [Bell Historians] Yesterday's CCC conference
a.. Many ringers too have an interest in ringing history of which bell
archaeology is a part. Perhaps you're confusing archaeology and history?

[A Willis]
The dividing line between Archaeology and History, particularly in
medieval times and later, is very blurred. At the extremes archaeologists
may not read and historians not look, but Bell Historians need those people
who look at the bells, frames and towers just as much as the people who are
prepared to go through archives.
