This week's obscure question

I've recently come across a small pre-Reformation bell at a Victorian church
in York. The churchwarden has kindly supplied photocopies of a number of
articles on the church, including one from its dedication in 1869. This says
that the little bell was given by on T.S. Noble Esq, and was from the ruins
of a monastery in Westmorland from whence it had been excavated 'some years
ago'.
Anyone got any ideas where this monastery might be?
David
