What I am saying is that the Lester tenor of 1738 and the Lester and Pack
bells of 1762 produced a bloody fine sound and it was a crying shame they
were smashed up just to get another firms name on the waistband. How often
this has happened and thank God for English Heritage and others for putting
a stop to this form of vandalism.
