[Bell Historians] unusual clappers

Flat sides to clapper balls are not all that unusual. Two of the old clappers 
we removed from Gussage St Michael, Dorset had flat sides. I Guess it could 
be a material saving exercise or it could be that the hanger is trying not to 
kill the bell dead with a heavy clapper ball. Maybe someone should try this on 
some designs of SG clappers that kill bells dead.
