Preserved bells

The church at Goltho near Lincoln is remote and last November the small bell
was stolen from its bell-cote. The amount of effort required to remove it
would have been considerable and the value very little. If it was
apparently worthwhile stealing this bell surely any bell is vulnerable and
it is completely irresponsible to leave bells on display in a church unless
they are very secure.
