Briant of Hertford had his foundry adjacent the Lea Navigation and his bells
turn up all over the place wherever there is water. Honolulu being an
excellent example!

Yes, but the interesting thing about those bells is that they were
originally in Shrewsbury. How did Briant get the contract, and not Rudhall?
(a great user of the Severn as a means of transport)
