Bryan Eldridge of Chertsey was in the Midlands during the latter years of t=
he Commonwealth and Protectorate, 1656 to 1660. Based at Coventry he cast a=
number of bells for churches in Warwickshire, Leicestershire and Northampt=
onshire and there are/were a couple of later stragglers of c.1660 in Beds a=
nd Hunts.

I had never heard the suggestion that Abraham Rudhall took over some of the=
last Eldridge's work, but he picked up a few commissions in the area round=
London, Middlesex and Surrey in around 1710 and the idea is certainly wort=
h exploring
