Warner's rehung the eight at St Michael with St Paul, Bath in 1912. The hea=
dstocks are all cast iron and a metal frame installed. They also recast the=
7th bell which was the worst sounding bell in the tower. When the bells we=
re re-tuned in 1995, Eayre & Smith thought the 7th was cracked as it sounde=
d so bad. Alan Hugh's retorted "Warner bells don't crack". When examined by=
Nigel Taylor, a small amount of metal was removed from the crown and the b=
ell was transformed into a True Harmonic tuned bell. The sharp Prime brough=
t into line with the other partials.
