Heathen lot in Chatham! Fortunately the ring of 8 in The Victoria Tower at
St Mary's is not part of the sale and will be maintained for ringing. I
confess to not knowing the current fate of the 2 bells listed by
Stahlschmidt at St John the Divine (1798 and Thomas Mears II 1820). Maybe
DLC knows.

The whole business of making one church at Chatham was a complete balls up
as it emerged that the wrong church was chosen! Now they are both redundant.
