I have somehow picked up a reference to a 40 inch steel bell at Ethan
Frome. Can anyone tell me if this place really exists or is it pure fiction
from a 1992 american novel of that title. The net is no help as it is
crowded with references from the book. H.E.J.Smith

[Anne Willis] Ethan Frome is the 'hero' and the title of a 1911 novel by
Edith Wharton. My google search suggests that the area round Dublin might
be a good place to look for a town/settlement of that name.
