SOUTH TIDWORTH, Wiltshire (formerly Hampshire): Set of 6 hemisphericals inv=
oiced by Mears & Stainbank in June 1880 to Sir John Kelk, Bart (who paid fo=
r the church)., for a total of =A3230. 18s. 0d. This included the bells, fr=
ame, chiming apparatus, delivery and fixing, an extra journey for the bellh=
anger as the turret was not ready. This latter item cost the parish an extr=
a thirty shillings (=A31. 50). These bells, weighing a total of 20 cwts, we=
re sold back to Mears & Stainbank in 1965 for the sum of =A320. 1s. 4d.=20

A new single bell (2' 3" diameter) and tuned to note 'E' was invoiced on 25=
th November, 1965. It is struck by a lever clapper. The church is now in th=
e care of The Churches Conservation Trust.
