I kept off the details because there are only six tubes visible but eight
sets of hammers, eight ropes where they connect with the hammers but only
seven and seven holes at floor level (one rope disappears at the lower
horizontal bar of the frame). Given that the visible tubes vary considerably
in length, I would have assumed that if eight, all would have been visible.
Clearly, the artist was not one for accuracy.
I would guess that eight tubes were delivered, even if they are not visible
in the illustration.
