W & T Covey = William & Tobias
William, who was believed to be a carpenter by trade, joined the
Purdues in 1663, and Tobias had joined them by 1667.
William & Thomas Covey cast a bell for Llangynedeyrn,Wales in 1679
(again from Campanology in Ireland)
and in a note in the Jouurnal of the Bristol Archaeological
Association, William & Thomas were said to have helped Roger Purdue
to cast the six at St Canice's, Kilkenny
Knowing how accurate H B Walters wasn't at times, it seems likely to
me that William Coney & William Covey were one and the same.
