I disagree. It was the only organ to have a true carillon installed, and 
from the brief brilliant burst heard on last Tuesday's 'The Organist 
Entertains' on radio 2 (Also available to be heard on the BBC web) it was a 
jolly fine sounding carillon. Where is the carillon now? The dismantled 
organ is stored in this country and is it possible that the carillon is 
stored with it? Does anyone know what happened to this important example of 
the Croydon Foundry? To my mind this carillon is of some historical 
significance in relation to G&J. It certainly proved what a musical fellow 
with a good pair of ears and a good set of tuning forks can achieve.
