Is this bell historically important?
The bell crown is to badly cracked up to be worth welding.
There are two possible options, leave it as an "exhibit" and get a
replacement, or have a new plain crown welded in.
I am advised it would not be impossible to recreate the existing crown
and cannons, just more expensive than replacing or casting as new bell.

There are problems in making it an exhibit because the crown consists
of a number of pocket sized pieces
