I rang at this tower on Saturday. What a big tower for such small 
bells!

There is a Mears notice to the effect that the present ring of 6 
replaced a 25cwt ring of 3. Were these ringable and were they intended 
to be the basis of a ring of 8?

As an aside; even allowing for the fact that they are in an 8-bell 
frame, why is the rope circle relatively poor when there is acres of 
space to work with?
