Although the church was gutted at Pier Head the tower was largely undamaged=
. The ringing room ceiling is pre-war and so I would guess the bells would =
have been safe in the tower.

Pier head is the only one I can think of, but in this case the bells were=
recast after the war anyway! Rather ironically, some important rings which=
had been left in situ were destroyed (Most notably, Bow).
