Alphington

The latest Devon Guild newsletter mentions the following
http://www.ex.ac.uk/gdr/rrd/mar05/rrd.html

'The Exeter Express and Echo on 28 February 1939 carried the following
article about the recasting of Alphington bells. It should be noted that the
old tenor (cast by Thomas Bilbie) did not have the inscription "The Bible
cast us all"!'

The article implies that the 1749 Bilbie octave were being recast at
Loughborough for £500. Did this happen or was the journalist confusing
recasting with rehanging, as these bells don't appear in Andrew Higson's
list of complete Taylor Rings?

Thanks
Nick
