I have a copy of Berkshire in my hand, but it is the second edition 
(1970, Kingsmead reprints) which I guess is not the one you're asking 
about. It is bound in grey cloth with a purple dust jacket and says on 
the title page:

'The eighteen articles serialised in volumes 43 (1939) to 57 (1959) of 
the Berkshire Archaeological Journal and as a supplement to volume 61, 
with an appendix bringing the original survey up to date.'
