Called in at the Church several years ago and recall a bit of a buzz 
locally about the bells being refurbished and the locals were having to 
learn a new way of ringing them- I assumed rehung for ringing!
Does anyone know if any scheme has been proposed for the unringable 
(clocked and two bells cracked- from memory) at Gilling East?
