Is a national database really necessary? How many
areas are not covered by published county books?
Surely county books or geographical areas written by
historians would be better. I oppose the idea of a
national database as there are enough politicts with
the unringables database. Aye. Sam

perfectly adequate, and it is a private discussion
forum whereas the wiki is available to anyone. I would
appreciate it if people would ask me, as maintainer of
this list, before attempting to move a discussion
elsewhere.
