Roker

It appears that the bells at Roker were cast around the New Year of 
1947/8

The third was tuned on New Years Eve 1947 and the second in New Years 
Day 1948!!  NYD was obviously not public holiday in those times!  The 
tuning dates of the front bells suggest very strongly that they could 
not have been cast in 1948 as they would not have had time to cool and 
be broken out of their moulds.
