If you look at the original message, you will be able see that 
the .HTML bit of the URL was word-wrapped by the Yahoogroup software 
and dropped from the link.  (I actually copy/pasted the link from 
David's website!)

As a general rule, if a link from an email does not work check that all 
of it is in your browser - it should usually end with .htm or .html 
or .shtml or .php   If it does not end like this the link will not 
work.  The only exception is when you are going to the homepage of the 
website e.g. www.ringing.info where the /index.htm is assumed by the 
browser

This is a regular problem with long URLs.
