  Have you never heard them called that before Matt?  It was the 
only to make the architect see sense- go into great detail. needless 
to say, the architect was happy that he had been consulted in the 
project and a faculty was no problem. The same architect has been 
moaning about another church very close by where the bells where 
rehung lower in the tower, claiming that the rehanging has caused 
cracks in the tower walls, but the local band know nothing about it!
