Thanks for the speedy answer on that one Bill - good to know that it is the A.B. Carpenter whose name is on the bell. So the bell now at Orange does have some slight significance in ringing history. Cast in 1907, it could also have been one of Gillett's very earliest "Simpson" tuned bells - this was the year when they adopted modern tuning
