albeit continental

I have just obtained a recording of the largest of the seven steel
bells at Neustadt an der Weinstraße. At about 14,000kg it is the second
heaviest bell in Germany and reputedly the heaviest steel bell in the
world. It was cast by Bochumer in 1949 and is true-harmonic. I have put
the recording up on the net at
http://www.hibberts.co.uk/collect2/stiftskirche_ruprecht.mp3 . I think
it is a beauty - I hope they keep it painted.
