Alwyns already on the case. He never rang there himself but his father 
called the peal of Grandsire Doubles on 22.04.1939

It was eventually closed circa 1999 and there was a planning 
application in 2007 to convert to 6 flats, though how that will happen 
with the church on a roundabout is anyones guess - have a look on 
Google earth!
