Comparing profiles

The following picture might be of interest.  It is of two large bells currently standing on the foundry floor at Whitechapel.  Both are about a ton in weight (the rear one is in E, the front one Eb) however the rear one is Gillett & Johnston profile (St Magnus 11th) and the front one is Mark III profile (Orleans tenor).  You can make out the subtle difference in shape, which Alan Hughes assures me is actually only less than 2% from each other.

Apologies for the picture quality - it is difficult to take photos there as there isn't much light in a wide open space.
