Oh dear, oh dear,
I can assume that Mr Charles will not be visiting the Nottinghamshire
Collection of Historic bellframes in Saundby Church?
Some carpenters/bellhangers would be proud to know that another generation
has sought fit to retain fine examples of their work.
A Philistine

Subject: [Bell Historians] Bell frame for sale (of no practical use)
This is in today's Church Times. I expect that you all knew and are
fighting over it already...
'17th century dilapidated bell-frame available on condition that it is
kept under cover and available for public inspection. The bell-frame is
to be removed from St James Church, Horton in South Glos., and, whilst
unserviceable for hanging bells, it is of historic interest.'
Just a pile of useless junk, then?
Hayden Charles
