"they have two of the Gillett bells from the old ring at Kidderminster in
store."

These would have the notes G and A (the old Kidderminster ring were in D),
so assuming they are thick enough to tune down a semitone (likely as they
were the trebles of a 12), they would be usable as the trebles of a ten in
E.
