Indeed, how ever I missed that one out from my top ten, I don't know. Mine is complete with a friendly inscription from the author and the signature of the Bishop of Coventry, all on the day the bells rang (for service) for the first time! 

And CJP's own commendation of Bryan McGahey's book is appropriate. Apart from the fascinating information, the book is a delight to handle and to own.

  I must admit that I thoroughly enjoyed Chris Pickford's "Steeple, Bells and Ringers of Coventry Cathedral". These sorts of books normally put me to sleep quickly enough, but this one didn't. (And no, this isn't a wind up...) :)
