Don't think Anne's musings about the various Warners amount to much. By then the Warners who became the bellfounders shortly afterwards were already in a very big way of business in brassfounding and metal work of all sorts. A prosperous business - already maintaining a large and wealthy family - to which bellfounding was added as a sideline (as it always was). I don't know if Alfred was related or connected in any way, but rather suspect not. Directories give more or less equal coverage to all firms - large and very small.
Can't help with the patent bell, though. Is there anything in Elphick?
