Those on this list will probably be aware of the article in the Yorkshire Post, Church Times, Ringing World and the local paper concerrning the wonderful gift that has been made to put a ring of six into this church to replace the near derelict ring of three.

The Parish now has a Faculty for the following work:
The creation of a new floor above the kitchen and toilet installed in the base of the tower.
The introduction of a doorway in the glass screen behind the organ gallery at the West of the church to provide access to this new chamber.
Electrical work to upgrade lighting at all levels in the tower and to provide emergency lighting.
The removal of the existing three bells and the disposal of the Warner Tenor.
The removal of the existing bellframe.
The installation of a new bellframe to hold six bells and the two existing listed bells.
The installation of the ex-St. Minver ring of six with refurbished fittings.
The hanging of the two listed bells with stationary fitings.

Work schedules are now being prepared by the parish and I expect further deatils will be known in due course.

I hope this sets out clearly the work that is planned for this tower and the exciting propects for ringing that it brings about.

John
