Was n't there a case of the Crystal Palace being filled up with pigeons? They daren't shoot at them for fear of hitting the glass! However, upon consultation, the Duke of Wellington suggested that they introduce a hawk
Apparently this immedistely clesred the pigeons, but I never did read how they got rid of the hawk.
