Subject: RE: [Bell Historians] Bell and iron founding
I seem to remember being told when I lived in Leicester that Taylors
contracted out some of their headstocks to Cort's iron foundry in St Ives
Road?
Peter Rivet
They certainly contracted out the canon-retaining headstock for the L&J
tenor at Holy Trinity, Bradford on Avon, as the bell was so large (over
29cwt after re-tuning)
