[Bell Historians] Is this bell the original or a recast?

Fairly straightforward, I think. It is the original bell (1843) with a later [O']Byrne patent rotary mounting (i.e. cast iron headstock)

The Patent Rotary mounting is designed for a bell with a button top. The 1843 did not have one, so O'Byrne removed the canons and fitted an iron button bolted to the crown of the bell (the bolted seem to have been quite recently renewed) to enable the headstock to be fitted.

What is the size of the bell (mouth diameter) by the way?
