Yes there are so many places, lost, I would love to see Cassiobury
house, sometime seat of the Essex family initially built 1546 demolished
1927

Do you know what Ted I feel the same. I would have loved to have seen
the Holy Trinity Church And Burton Abbey. But they are gone! :(

I wonder whether, a few hundred years hence, our wanton destruction of
such grand buildings (they are only Victorian after all, not old enough
to be important!) might be viewed with the same regret that we feel when
looking back at the destruction of so many wonderful Abbey churches.
