I think CJP supplied the answer to this very question some time ago. Have a look in the archives. It's a Mears bell - from the chapel from memory. It used to be outside.

Hi all,
this has probably been covered before but,can anyone shine a light on the history of the london bell that is now on display at the start of "Hex" at Alton Towers. Who cast it,where for and how did it end up at the theme park??

Cheers

Mitch
