King's Cross did have bells, but they weren't hung in the tower - they were within the main building at the back of the concourse. It was a Dent clock, and the three bells (largest 22 cwt) were by Murphy of Dublin, 1851-2. The bells were finally sold in 1947, having been disused for a while, and an electric clock was installed in 1965.
