Bullington (RW front page)I would not know but there are epoxy saturation and fill tequnequs that will recover structural strength to impossibly bad timber, but mega expensive, and the appearance is not special because the fill leaves it looking sort of over varnished, like a plastic imitation old beam.

I am having difficulty reconciling the diameters and weights given in the article.

I'd also be most interested to know what 'the special new technique to conserve as much of the existing wood as possible' is. Any ideas??

  George
