When I looked at the enlarged photo, I thought 1841 (not 1847). No, not
on my lists - although I do have a note of a smaller bell (3 cwt)
supplied in 1840. The one in the picture looks a fair bit bigger - and
an indication of the actual size would be helpful
But this bell is far more famous than just an 1840s Mears bell. It
featured in Michael Uphill's /Tales from the London County Crypt/
(illustrated on p.61 of the book)
