The Goulburn bell

This bell has moved about a bit. It was originally cast for the House of
the Ascension (or Mary’s Mount monastery) at Goulburn. It was
transferred to North Goulburn in 1964 and later moved to a theological
college in the North Adelaide Hills. It was moved again after the
Adelaide bushfires in 1983 and is now in Canberra at the Australian
Centre for Christianity and Culture.

LVCTEBVRGI in the inscription is, of course, Loughborough - a rather
delightful "bogus" Latin name for a place not well known as a town of
Roman origin!
