[Bell Historians] Meenely Bell information

I did not find a date on the bell, is there a "usual" place the date is marked on bells?  Next time I am up in the belfry I will bring a tape measure to measure the bell, I can only estimate it now to be about 2 feet across.  It is a large nice sounding bell.
