The John Taylor Bellfoundry has made it to the short-list for the
Leicestershire County Council Green Plaque Scheme awards -- see the
following link for details:www.leics.gov.uk/greenplaques
<http://www.leics.gov.uk/greenplaques>

As Bell Historians will know, the company has been founding on the
present site since 1859 and traces its history back considerably
further. The buildings have recently been upgraded to grade II* in
recognition of the historical significance of the site.

The award of a green plaque will certainly help to further increase
public appreciatiation of the heritage value of the foundry site and
buildings, and I hope that bell Historians will lend their support by
voting to ensure that the Bellfoundry secures one of the six plaques

Please vote for the Bellfoundry

Thanks

Chris Pickford
