A question asked by Andrew Ball in the pub the other day. What is the largest complete ring of six (i.e. produced at the same time by one founder). He suggests that it could be the 1735 Thomas I Bilbie six at Chew Magna, where the tenor weighed 30cwt. Only one of the 1735 bells survive today. Can anyone beat that?

Cheers,

Matthew
