The question of how bell "experts" are recruited to the the CBC could
perhaps be raised with David Knight at the next Bell Advisers' conference,
which is due to take place at St Albans on 8 July.

If you look, all of the other committees, except the bells, are stacked
with well known experts in the field with which the committee is set up to
deal. So why do they think bells should be different? Why do they not have a
trade representative like every other committee? And what part, if any (!),
did out peak body (Central Council) play in advising on the membership of
this committee.

It would be interesting to hear the view of Alan, James or John on how
they feel the committee works and if they consider they are able to
influence the decisions it makes?

More importantly, what can be done to get the situation changed and
increase the number of those knowledgeable in bell matters on this
committee?
