Dear All
Moored outside out Cottage is a narrowboat called Lepus, home to Ivor and
Mel Batchelor. Ivor is a well known character in canal circles. He has been
taking a keen interest in our recent ringing activity at Chirk and is
something of a tow path critic!!
It transpires that his Grandfather, Harry was a ringer in their home
village of Helmdon, Northants and he produced two records of peals rung by
Harry in 1927. Please see photos attached. Ivor would be interested to hear
if anyone can fill in any background information about the peals, his
grandfather`s ringing exploits or any of the other band members.
Thanks
