Iā€™m afraid this is down to me.

Nick Thomas has asked about Idle & I mistakenly (faulty memory) thought of the old 6 at Oxenhope.

In fact there was a single bell there, not by Shaw as Dennis Greenwood says, but according to Taylors Inspection notes, a Mears bell, 26ā€ diameter, date not recorded.

This was NOT traded in when the new 8 were installed.

But this bell is no there now ā€“ any ideas of its fate???

 No!
