Thanks to Chris for posting this. I never understood why the 3rd quarter bell had a Tennyson inscription on it, quite unlike the other four, - so its interesting to learn of its probable original intended destination.
The church was badly damaged in WW2 along with other churches in Clifton, but in this case the tower and bells survived intact.
